Slavery Policy

At Alyve, we are staunchly against slavery and forced labour of any form. Our commitment to 'human-kind technology' translates into an unwavering respect for human rights in all areas, it’s a definite no-no for us, and we expect the same from our suppliers. We strictly prohibit the use of forced labour, coercion, bribery or human trafficking within our supply chains and take steps to maintain diligent oversight and enforce robust controls to ensure our partners and suppliers share this commitment. In addition, we provide training and resources to our staff to help them identify and address any potential risks related to slavery.

The Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 defines Modern Slavery as a crime and violation of human rights via eight types of serious exploitation:

  • Trafficking in persons

  • Slavery

  • Servitude

  • Forced marriage

  • Forced labour

  • Debt bondage

  • Deceptive recruiting for labour or services

  • Child labour in which children are subjected to any of the above or are engaged in hazardous work.

Alyve Commits to the following:

  • Prevent, detect and respond with mitigating controls to the risk of Modern Slavery occurring within Alyve, its supply chain or in any other business relationships.

  • Demonstrate Alyve’s commitment to only doing business with those who fully comply with the Act.

  • Encourage employees, including contractors, to raise concerns with their manager about any likely Modern Slavery breaches in any parts of Alyve’s supply chains or business, at the earliest possible stage.

  • Ensure that staff, including contractors, are aware of our commitment and how they should respond if they have concerns.

  • Ensure compliance with the Act (as may be amended from time to time).
